Annabelle Desrochers is a young environmental activist who is involved in politics to demand greater respect for the environment. Fascinated by politics and very aware of the fragility of the environment since a young age, she is now determined to bring positive change to Quebec society by becoming involved with the Quebec Green Party.
Growing up in a low-income family in the city of Rouyn-Noranda, she understands very well the economic reality and the obstacles that Quebecers face. Being a feminist, Annabelle Desrochers believes that the moment is conducive to greater representation of women in politics. She is passionately opposed to any form of discrimination against cultural and sexual minorities. Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples is something that is dear to her heart and she believes that we should do everything we can to correct historical and current injustices towards these same peoples.
Currently student in Human Sciences at Cegep Saint-Jérôme, she has a DEC in Languages. Later, she would like to pursue university studies in Social Innovation, a program aimed at developing community projects and organizations.
As a music lover, she plays ukulele, piano and enjoys outdoor activities. For Annabelle Desrochers, every vote cast on behalf of the Parti Vert du Québec helps her to take a place in the public debate and to show that our priorities resonate with the public. She would be honored to have your support in the 2018 elections in Mirabel. Every voice counts!
