Marie-Claude Dextraze is a young activist and ecologist mother who has been involved for a long time in the defense of various social and environmental causes. Through the involvement of her parents, Marie-Claude bathed in politics and social justice from an early age. She traveled to the four corners of the world where she went to meet different cultures, which led her to study anthropology.
At the local level, Marie-Claude proposes the development of a sustainable economy by encouraging producers to exploit resources in compliance with environmental standards. It wants to encourage industries and individuals to adopt behaviors that preserve the ecosystems and natural wealth of Quebec. According to her, Quebecers should be the first to benefit from their resources in a fair and equitable way.
Moreover, Marie-Claude proposes to review the taxes imposed on capital. These should be high enough to restore the balance between businesses and individuals. Finally, it is crucial for her to opt for healthy and ecological transportation options. By guaranteeing improved access to public transport, Marie-Claude is committed to fighting the congestion of the road system and the threat of global warming.
Marie-Claude encourages social ethics and the involvement of citizens to strengthen their sense of belonging and greater social cohesion. It is therefore natural that she gets involved with the DMP to support her eco-socialist policies and to push for a real cultural and structural transformation of society.
For Marie-Claude, each vote cast in favor of the Green Party of Quebec proves that the ideas defended by the party resonate with the population. She would like to ensure that our people are healthy, educated, prosperous, fair and would be honored to be able to count on your support in the upcoming 2018 elections in Lotbinière-Frontenac. Every voice counts!
